I bought my Mustang from a guy who did body work for a living, so it has had quite a bit of work done to it. He fixed up all the external rust and dents, and did a pretty smooth paint job in his garage. The car was originally Wimbleton White with black hood stripes, but he painted it Peterbuilt Blue with Wimbleton White hood stripes. It's a 10 footer, but it's a nice start, considering some of the cars I looked at.
You may notice that the rear tires are shorter than the fronts - you gotta wonder what someone was thinking when they did that! (OK, a web-friend explained that that was a pretty hot look in it's day, so I can understand. It's just not so hot now, so away it goes)

I added a pop-open gas cap recently. I bought the cap for $20 over the web from Larry Foord. It's chrome is pitted, and not in really nice shape, which is why it was so cheap, but it was perfect for me, because I had plans to mangle it (sorry, resto-guys).

I was told that these old pop-open caps aren't really for street use, because they don't contain the fumes well enough. Someone on the newsgroup explained how a company sells these modified to use a screw on cap underneith, so they are good for use on the street. So I whipped out the dremel and removed the innards to make room for the screw-on cap, and by golly, it all fit just great.
I'm
starting to feel like a real customizer now!
