Welcome... to my Fishroom. This website serves as a journal of my hobby, partly for my own reference, and partly so my friends far and wide can see what I am up to.
So check out my fish, see the babies, and see how my fish room is set up. Enjoy, and feel free to write.
There is also a section on our kittens, because cats and fish just seem to go together...
A note about our fish club:
For the past 25 years or so I have enjoyed my fish hobby alone. In that time I have slowly learned on my own through trial and error. A chance meeting with another fish hobbyist through Craigslist encouraged me to join the local fish club GPAS. Since then I have had the opportunity to buy fish and plants I could never find in pet stores, discuss specialty subjects like setting up plant tanks and breeding new-to-me species with people who have been focusing on it for years, and just had a great time sharing with other enthusiasts. It has really brought the hobby to life for me, and I have never been more excited about it! I encourage other fish people to join us, or join your local club if you happen to be out of the area and are reading this.
The best thing about a fish club is that when I talk to my 'normal' friends about fish, they sound interested but they think it's a little nuts - even if they don't say it. But at the fish club I'm surrounded by people who understand, or perhaps think I'm not nearly crazy enough, which is nice :-)
